This solution for desktop and mobile was built for SF Public Works as a part of San Francisco’s Startups in Residence program and is intended to facilitate building inspection conducted after a natural disaster and during recovery in order to reduce associated dangers and costs. Spiral Scout worked closely with stakeholders to design and build an application for screening buildings’ safety before and after a natural disaster like an earthquake takes place. Field inspectors use the solution to put together a detailed inventory of municipal or enterprise buildings. This data is then sent back to a main database where damage assessment reports are generated that can be used to inform government officials about the state of their city.
