CLxNY: Meaningful Wellness In the Workplace

США, Нью-Йорк

Join us as Heather Waibel from Welnys, Karl Pawlewicz from Olark, and Ruslan Tovbulatov from Thrive Global guide us in exploring the idea of meaningful wellness at work.

When we hear the term “wellness in the workplace,” we often think about massage days, gym reimbursements, and healthy snacks. In this Culture Lab event, we’ll hear from experts who have gone beyond simply offering these perks, and have actually helped build cultures that support mental health in meaningful ways.

Participants will break into small discussion groups led by our expert facilitators and discuss the following topic: We know the benefits of physical activity, downtime, nutrition, sleep– but how can we incorporate these aspects into our workplace cultures?

Agenda:

6-6:15: Food and Drinks

6:15-6:30: Intros

6:30-7:30: Discussion groups with rotating facilitators

7:30-8: Open discussion

Past attendees have included people from Spotify, Facebook, Greenhouse, Percolate, Buffer, Hopscotch and many more. You’ll learn from organizations of all sizes and stages.

In a span of 5 years, he scaled the BrandLab program to 6 centers across 4 continents, consulting over 225 global brands on their digital marketing strategies. Prior to Google, Ruslan oversaw consumer research at Kantar Retail for many of the world’s largest CPG manufacturers and retailers. Heather Waibel spent half a decade as a technical project manager/scrum master at a Fortune 500 company working on projects for McDonalds, TiVo, MoneyGram and Disney. Now, she is returning to her entrepreneurial roots, combining her corporate experience with her 15 years of yoga practice into her next success, Welnys, a platform that makes wellness easy for companies. Heather holds an MBA from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, speaks German and has traveled to 5 continents, 36 countries and 27 US states.

Karl Pawlewicz is Head of Communications at Olark. As the ‘voice’ of Olark, Karl wants to understand what small businesses are doing to make their business more human, so he can share that insight on the Olark blog and in customer conversations. Olark’s CEO famously encouraged one of his employees to take a mental health day (see story here). A member of the Olark marketing team, Karl identifies as a Brooklynite, a luddite, and a husband to the incredibly talented Lindsay Rae.
